-Email from Sharon, mother to Kelvin: Preston's League's delivered their first

wish list on September 28, 2018. Kelvin was our first patient to submit his wish list.

Hello, Hello, Hello

Wow 6 years!  Glad to hear you are still here to serve well deserving families!!

Thank you for what your organization continues to do!!!

Kelvin is a Fall 2024 transfer student at UNC Chapel Hill.  He completed two

AAS degrees at the community college.  He is thriving.

After his bone marrow transplant, he also received 2 hip replacements, 2

shoulder replacements and a kidney transplant.

God is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  good.  We owe it all to HIM!

I am so glad you reached out.

Sharon

-Quote from the Ed, father to Walker:

This program was such a benefit, not only for Walker but Chels and I as well. So many days Walker was sad about being in the hospital with no one to visit him and, quite frankly, bored out of his gourd by being stuck in bed all day. Chels and I were with him, but we had to alternate as we have two other boys at home. We couldn’t leave Walker due to tenuous nature of his health and treatment. Therefore, it was almost impossible to get things for him. Preston’s League was the perfect vehicle to keep Walker’s spirits bolstered. It was like Christmas, and he looked forward to it immensely. It is a boon and blessing for families who are isolated due to the nature of the illnesses on 4A. Joy comes in many forms and Preston’s League is one of them for sure!

-Quote from Maria, mother to Nicole:

On behalf of my daughter Nicole, who had a stem cell transplant back in June of 2023, I can’t tell you how much our “gifts” from Preston’s League meant to us!  We were so amazed at the all the love and kindness we experienced while in the hospital but the gifts from Preston’s League was something we were not expecting and definitely made Nicole’s time in the hospital so much more bearable.  The best gift she received was a remote control car that she used often to play with the other kids on the floor that Nicole became close to.  We are so thankful for the generosity and time that Celeste put into making Nicole’s stay in the hospital as good as it could be.

-Quote from Ashley, mother to Lane:

Spending weeks on end in the hospital for transplant was pretty awful.  We were not in a good financial place.  Knowing I could "shop" every week for something to make the hospital stay more bearable was great.  Lane was sooooo excited you found a race car!  The remote control cars are what kept him going...well that and cup of noodles.  Thank you for what your doing
